When a driver has been involved in a wreck, in addition to contacting their insurance company, he or she should consider hiring an auto accident lawyer.
Often, the phrase “car accident” or “auto accident” is used to describe this type of case, but rarely is a car wreck truly an “accident.” When a collision occurs, it is generally the result of someone’s negligence or carelessness. As experienced accident lawyers, it is our mission to hold accountable those who act negligently or recklessly in causing motor vehicle collisions, and ensure that our clients are compensated for the injuries they suffered. We are particularly dedicated to hold accountable those who drink and drive and injure or kill innocent Atlanta motorists.
Our expertise in motor vehicle collisions is not limited to car crashes. At our firm in addition to being auto accident attorneys, we also have experience in representing persons injured by tractor-trailers, those in bicycle or motorcycle accidents, and even pedestrians. It often is said that cars, let alone motorcycles, are not designed to be operated on the same roads as trucks. Yet we all know that in reality, cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles must share the roads. Unfortunately, as many have witnessed first-hand, these can be dangerous and deadly combinations.
There are numerous laws which regulate the operation of all vehicles. If you have had the misfortune of being injured in a collision, you should make sure that you retain an injury lawyer and law office with knowledge and experience to provide you with the legal advice you need.
Thousands of commercial trucks are implicated in accidents every year in Georgia. There are many reasons for this type of accident, including driver exhaustion after many hours of driving and unrealistic deadlines truck drivers have to meet. In addition, mechanical problems with the truck or road conditions are also the reasons behind these catastrophic accidents.
If you have been hurt in a truck accident, it is essential to select the right attorney. The lawyer you choose to handle your claim must have experience handling these types of cases, including this particular kind of vehicle accident. In Georgia, truck and tractor-trailer accident lawsuits can become complicated due to intertwining state and federal laws, along with the number of parties who can be held responsible for a crash.
